Why? NeoOffice (a version of OpenOffice for the Mac) -
http://www.neooffice.org/ - is actually MORE compatible with MS Office than MS Office for Mac.
I was quite disappointed with MS Office for Mac - slow, clunky, many features omitted and files are not perfectly compatible with MS Office for PC.
NeoOffice is excellent, better in fact than the "official" native OpenOffice for Mac.
Give it a whirl, I doubt you'll regret it - and the price is right.....
