If it is Aer Lingus...
Sounds to me like desparation .

This is something [Ryanair] are very good at doing, maybe Aer Lingus
are starting to take note on how Ryanair do things, AT LAST .

Or maybe Ryanair are planning to announce more routes from
Gatwick .
