Those at Norfolk may not pay tax from the salary but please understand the following, GST is higher than Aus, a medivac costs around $30K (no return), just about everything needs to be shipped in, children go to boarding school in Aus or NZ, ...well I could go on.
Those on the road maintance get a little more per hour than on offer, but some do appreciate that that job was offered as an alternative if not happy!!
Is not the Aus Government looking at taking ova, anyway.
I guess then at least one don't need to pay much tax on $13 an hour.
