I think what the airline was going to do initially was park up several B737s at Luton during the winter period but a change was made and all the aircraft based at the airport were used and rotated as and when required. I agree with you about the summer schedule which is available on the airport web site to download most of the services have returned to the pre-winter timetable but I notice Zurich remains at one daily and Barcelona and Nice still have a reduced frequency.
