Local news are showing live video of passenger evacuation - passenger on board using mobile telephone for video capture. From the footage, it shows at least 30% of the passengers bringing their carry-on bags off the plane.
Even better is the picture of the flight attendents running ahead of the passengers to safety
- clearly not waiting to ensure pax safely off the plane.
In the footage, there is significant rain, with reduced visbaility and standing water on the active runway from which the plane departed. Nose gear looks to be down but heavily damaged.
From news timing could not be worse - second aviation incident for Lion Air (24 Feb 2009 - no front landing gear) in as many weeks - just as the Indonesian CAA was petitioning for access to Europe - looks like that may be delayed.
