Thanks for the "concern"...busy in Melbourne town avoiding trams, hangovers and liver transplants. I had the (unfortunate) experience of passing Ansett's newly appointed Chief Pilot on the escalators of the Tullamarine terminal at 0600 Saturday morning, a few weeks back. Strangely, he didn't seem to hear my call to him, and he
swiftly disappeared - undoubtedly headed North to BNE.
Yes, the Oz Bash took its toll, and it HAS taken a few weeks to recover - no thanks to
OzsExpat, Binos, Gaunty, John Tullamarine, Go Girl, Velvet, Blue Diamond, Dale, Foxy, Deaf (aka
Slasher) Blue Sky Baron etc, etc.
And not least of all
Interceptor, who very generously shouted my family and me a Dim Sum lunch in Chinatown!
So life in MEL is
possibly a
LITTLE better than that in QATAR!
......but never having been there (QATAR), one can only wonder.
