Interesting news re: the gas expansion as the Voe presently burns the gas off.
I am not sure in the long run if there will be an enormo increase in flights as there is now a degree of automation in the operation of the processing. However it is good and interesting news. As for the oil find; sadly for the Voe most oil is now pumped directly to Orkney as opposed to being stored here so we shall see.
However good news all round, and hopefully Eastern will have techs on site to deal with knackered Saabs unlike Flybe - as I was on a flight which turned back to Aberdeen yesterday due to a "technical fault" halfway through the flight...
There is an enormous rumpus going on at present after one of the councils investment arms gave £8m to upgrade Scatsta. I will try and find the relevant article in the Shetland Island Times.
