When should Going-Around be called?
Hi,
Any UK/LHR Air Traffic Controllers care to help on a tech question from a dumb pilot?
Scenario;
LHR 27L, approach discontinued by pilots due low vis./nil contact at decision altitude.
When should the Going-Around call be made to ATC?
a) As soon as possible after aircraft safely climbing away workload permitting.
b) At initial level-off altitude
c) Anytime, ATC will call if special instructions
I know my answer is a) but prepared to be corrected.
