It is really interesting as I am pretty certain that everyone who served at that time has a completely different and just as interesting tale to tell It is a bit like the different stories told by several witnesses to a car accident. Your Belgian friend is so typical of the many Belgian pilots that I met and I bet that he would have a very different story of his war.
