Flying in NY or NJ - room for one more? =D

Hi Folks,

Going to be spending ten days in New York over Saint Patricks day, just wondering if I could hop along with anyone for some Dual Flying or even as a PAX, I did originally put down teterboro in a different post but anywhere in NY or NJ would be handy as i have transport, I'm still only a student mind you, around 22 hrs and circuit proficient,

After speaking to a flight school in NY it appears I need TSA approval to do any flying as Student PIC, at a fee of $130 for an application, not to mention Finger Printing which i can see being a hassle all in itself, and then the fees on top for the flying, it seems pretty costly for just wanting 30 mins local VFR with an instructor right? lol

cheers

Will
