EI and ERJ
In next round of orders, EI should consider purchasing either A319s or ERJ 190s like their partner airline Jet Blue. ERJ195 has a seat capacity of 122 as against 174.
From a ORK perspective, the ERJs would make ex Aer Arann routes viable and have potential of offering better timings - double daily on EDI with an A320 would not survive. More importantly, the ERJ would have the range (currently absent with the ATRs) necessary to open up continental destinations together with offering appropriate seat capacity from a regional market like ORK.
Jetblue's bottom line seems uneffected by operating a mixed fleet.
