Sad to hear about Dave McClure. I remember him well from Macair days. Also sad to hear about Max Paynter - a true engine overhaul craftsman and perfectionist. Last saw him a couple of years ago at Brisbane Aero Engineers, Archerfield, now owned by his son I believe.
