Back in the early 80s when I did my CPL theory at YPFL TAFE the lecturer was, amongst other things, a qualified Meteorologist.
One of his favourite sayings when doing the CPL/SCPL Met subjects was to refer to met forecasts thus;
''...so when you go into the briefing office and get the current 'fairy tale'......''
