Strongly endorse positive review of Tayside. Excellent instructor/aircraft availability, on-site engineering (when I did mine the guys came in early to ensure the 50 hour check was completed in time for the day's flying), and quality instruction - friendly but professional. Even came in on days off to move things ahead.

Whether you use Tayside or Tayflite you'll benefit just as much from any of the potential 3 examiners that they use, as you might from the course itself. I learned just as much on the day of the skill test as I did on the course.

Word of warning - if you get the resident Perth examiner, don't take jelly babies for the in-flight catering during the skill test. When I offered one to the examiner his silent scowl was a sight to behold. I'm told he prefers polo mints instead

PM if you want more info.
