Can add something from my country 9A
During last 18 years was few attempts to setup HEMS and helicopter SAR
units in Croatia. System on paper was setup last time in 2001. with para-integration of Bell 206, AB212 from Ministry of Interior with few Mi8 MTV from Ministry of Defense.
Last serious fail was one called Hiko, using one BK117 and one EC145,
pilot HEMS project was made during one month in 2005. over mid Croatian coast near Split, from where also some sort of MoD SAR-HEMS is still operational. Golden hour is never achieved standard here. Actual coalition Gov have signed coalition contract included HEMS of at last 3 bases with 24/7/365 but so far nothing happened and there is no sign of near improvements.
Even worse last fatal aviation incident of Cessna T303 9A-DLN bring all local aviation comunity to clear conclusion of non existing SAR and HEMS system in Croatia....
