Congratulation on what i suspect is your first ever half sensible comment on bmi, i do agree that the slot were a double edge sword in that it gave comfort and value but had to be protected by flying unprofitable routes because the slot times weren't much use for the long dreamed off USA routes.
After they bought Bmed some one woke and smelt the coffee and figured there was money to be made in flying to places ending in stan, all the more so as flying BA aircraft there was a red flag to a terrorist bull.
So at last they will soon have all their 330 and crews in LHR, just a shame it didn't happen years ago, i might have stayed, but hey ho
reading the various press wires and the ongoing problems in getting approval for Austrian & SN i suspect it may will be into the second half of the year before the bmi thing is a done deal, if at all!!
