Deadheading are now full credit instead of half-credit. But the main reason is that with the retirements and the nrew routes AC need more crews (pilots and flight attendants).
I am not an accountant, but I suspect that AC accountants know how to show one time outstanding items which are creating around half or more of the deficit.
