As per the AIP, you don't need to prompt ATC. It's simply "Brisbane/Melbourne Centre, ABC, King Air, IFR, POB 3, taxiing Emerald for Brisbane, Runway XX".
I have always done it like that, and I very RARELY ever got told to repeat myself.
Maybe if everyone read their AIP from time to time, and bothered to make the CORRECT calls, then we wouldn't have to have threads like this one, with people still getting it wrong.
