No the route is not being axed...as far as I'm aware.....
As for the contract for line maintenance, I believe there was a clause in the contract to the effect that if the maintenance provider was strapped for manpower then certain line maintenance items could be deferred until the aircraft returned to UK base. I believe the company maybe got fed up with the almost nightly application of said clause
, and is re-negotiating the contract.
