Krunch, are you saying that 1500QR a month are 10% of a car payment?
well, my car is nothing out of the ordinary and I pay in the area of 3000+QR per month as well as nearly the same amount in Insurance, petro is cheap but I seem to use an awful lot of it, takes about 80QR to 100QR every time i visit the station which would be at least 6 times per month.
so in the end I guess the allowence is something OK ( the 10% was an exzageration of course) but it does not cover what it really cost to get around.. at least it's something so I'll not complain.
but please.. DON'T bring a bicycle out here.. you will get killed.. really i'm not joking about that.

Qatar has the same electrical power system as in the UK so it should be fine I would assume. i'm no expert of course but like others here, I spend more money that you would ever think on blown light bulbs due to faulty wiring.
