Grid Reference Help!
Could someone please explain how grid references work?
I'm using the Southern England and Wales Edition 27
ICAO 1:500 000 chart and am having some difficulty pinpointing aerodromes...
For example I have a grid reference for Shoreham of N5050.03 E00017.57 - is this right? Surely it should be W00017.57?
As you can probably tell I'm quite confused, so if someone could explain how the grid references are broken down and how you can use them to quickly pinpoint an area, I would be very grateful!
