Funny, reminds me of a similar story back in the old days of Sunstate flying the sheds to MC......Apparently Jimmy Bow Tie was transiting from Mc thru Brisbane to Sy, so the good old G.M of Sunstate decided it was only appropriate that the shed be taken of that run and a dash 8 provided for that " special service ". Well true to form the Dash broke down, JBT was left stuck at MC for hours until the shed that was doing that run previously returned from operations elseware......

We all laughed our boxes off!!...motto of the story : if it's good enough for the common old pax it's good enough for management
