Sorry Paarmo,enjoy your posts as you are pulling in the same direction as the rest as us but.....many of the cancellations from Teesside(sorry DTV) were down to the airport.
Amsterdam's and Aberdeen were untouched so I think you will find the airport didn't open(for the third time this winter) due to the inability and lack of resources to clear the runway and taxyways. After all one little tractor(I watched it) isnt going to make much difference is it? BMI did suffer because of Heathrow.
Looking at other threads its interesting that Newcastle did suffer a lot of cancellations but that was a result of other airports down south.They worked well to keep runway open and as a result picked up BA diversions from Dacca,Nassau and Philidelphia.Sorry to say it but they are a proper airport and its recognised throughout the industry. Wonder if BA looked here!!!!!!!
