I've just received an email from netjets saying that they won't hire pilots for the first half of 2009
Nothing new.
In may 2008 they said that recruitment was on hold till september, in september they said it was on hold till the end of 2008. At the end of 2008 it was on hold till the beginning of 2009. Now they don't say anything anymore but they told you it was on hold untill the 2nd half of 2009.
I believe is that they will not recruite anymore untill at least 6 months after the point where the economy starts going again. This may occur in a few years.
My guess is that they will start recruiting in the 2nd half of 2011.
Mind you I have nothing to do with the company, just me speculating.
Those who complain that they don't fly a lot, be happy that you get paid well AND have a lot of free time, others have a lot of free time but have to manage with 1k€ or less. Better put some money aside in case of.
