If
'outside looking in' you are saying that you or anyone is beyond an incident such as that experienced by the westpac pilot recently, for the sake of your own safety and that of your colleagues, you may want to take a long hard look at yourself or else you too may be face to face with a koala before long.
As for NVG's as good as they are, you are over simplistic (read poorly informed yet again) in your posting. If it was as simple as flicking a switch to 'green' as you claim, they'd be using them tonight.
