j41cac - As explained in other threads where you have made the same comment:

RE would be very foolish to compete on a route with such a large airline as BE, on a route which does not have sufficient passenger numbers. If the two operators had smaller a/c then this could be a possibility as the need for additional capacity would be there but its not.

It would be far better, as highlighted on other threads where you have made the same suggestion, to focus on the LCY service which would be a prime business route. This is where the money would be so they need to ensure they establish a successful link first. Not all Manx residents would be behind RE as you may think - take a look at their history and they probably have had a fair few complaints passed their way from IOM residents too.

If RE move on to routes already served, and I mean Manx2 as well, this could cause a few problems for them. They are fairly new to IOM in comparison to Manx2 and Flybe (in terms of expansion and number of routes from IOM) and as you will know it takes a while to build up the trust of IOM passengers.....I dont think it would be worth risking it whilst things are the way they are.

With regards to your own travel, why not use the boat?
