A cynic might say that Shannon-Berlin has been saved because it competes with an Aer Lingus route out of Cork.
And I'm not just saying that as a Shannon v Cork thing. FR do seem to have a habit of being willing to take a loss on routes out of Dublin if it negatively affects one of their competitors.
