navaleye - that is fascinating stuff. I have never seen the BOI report and am probably a pretty unreliable witness as to ships positions!! I do recall the AC did alter course a few times as the main body moved. Do you have a graphic that you can post or email. 650 knots - it would be a pretty fleeting glimps(spelling?)! don't you think unless you were looking directly uptrack.
