LRP have a learning curve on 7x planning !! they need to anderstand rerouting and optimise level etc..and may be buy the Dassault planning sofware instead of jeppsen data plan which is too basic for this kind of airplane; yes they planned .85 but we were good to do .87 so we did !they have been spoilled by the G5 which is a typical American technology, meaning to solve problems make a big plane to create room to load lots of fuel and 2 bigs engines to make it airbone. the G its a good plane but its an airtanker compared to a 7x, about 35% bigger airframe for a cabin volume of less than 10 % bigger should said longer, 8 % more range with 37 % more fuel than the 7x !
Dassault didn t want to build a new 550 or XLS, they built a more efficient more sofisticated and more capable airplane base on a 90 % large cabin customers max range survey which they found was 5300 nm ! so they build this airplane accordingly, otherwize they could have build a G650 kind of airplane.

180mn.. maybe ! I am sure the FAA will give it without problem, this will be fine untill the first ditching, same with polar route or mountainous aerea take off, better do it with 3 than 2 engines !! We have a G5 owner on board last flight, they loved few things in this flight : having 3 engines over the water, the silence on board, the galley at the front and the double bed at the back nothing spectacular...
they said they will ask for the 7x even to go to NY ! So some will always said the G is better etc etc ..there are not completly wrong but the 7x is a different airplane by philosophy and technology.
