What is going to kill you?
I drive 60,000 kms each year in the Outback and it hasn't killed me yet!!!
Usual precautions....
- Stick to highways;
- Rest often;
- Don't ford flooded roads;
- Carry two days food and water;
- If in doubt, carry extra fuel;
- Carry an extra spare wheel or compressed puncture repair cans;
- Watch out for 'roos at dusk and dawn and emus during the day.
Cell phone and UHF CB are useful.
