Ryanair At Luton
I would suggest one of the main, or the main, reason why Ryanair have not put any more aircraft into Luton is that the airport have told them that they can by all means offer extra services but have to pay the going rate not get special deals from the likes of Birmingham, Bristol and East Midlands. I do not think the airport are too worried considering that Wizzair are still steadily increasing services and the track record Ryanair have got of starting new routes and then stopping them when it suits. easyJet make more money from passengers at Gatwick than any other airport in the UK so you can see why they want to offer as many routes as possible. At one time over 50 per cent of the passengers that flew from Luton lived north of Nottingham but I would think that is not the case now
