A very similar bit of kit has been flying for a while in France, I believe.

The curious thing about the SkyCar is that it doesn't yet have any paperwork as an aircraft,
AFAIK. Apparently the CAA have been approached as to the basis for certification, but that's about as far as it's got.
Mind you, like true adventurers, they aren't going to let a lack of paperwork stop them.
