It seems that some of you are living in a world I 'once' inhabited, when I was 17, I dreamed of the amount of flights that could be operated from CWL, and at the time I was a regular spotter there and part of the aircraft museum team.
However, wake up and read the headlines gentlemen, we are in a RECESSION, no airline manager worth his salt would risk his company on the 'off chance' that certain routes 'might' prove succesful in a few years.
Bristol was extremely lucky when GO decided on it as it's additional base, and yes the airport management were proactive in chasing other airlines on the back of it. Get over it and live with it
. At least BRS is closer than LHR.
But do you honestly believe in todays economic climate that Continental would start operating from Bristol given what's happening?
Besides just think what an airline executive must think when despite all this constant whining about lack of routes, the W.A.G. puts back the road improvements AGAIN.
