Funny , but most of the sentiment here is fairly positive.About the pit.

More like: Those that can stand it here, stay while those that can't stand it here leave.
It's easy enough to b**** about the place, the "managements" and even the conditions, but those that do not have a reasonable work attitued do not last long out here. A bad work attitude is not tolerated for those without wasta and there is no such thing as job protection for an expat. So there is always a continuous culling amongst the really disatisfied.
As for the web surfing, I can remember when such was not possible out here.
