I believe a merger between Air Southwest and Blue Islands has been on the cards for quite some time. It makes a lot of sense for both airlines. They have complimentary route networks, Blue Islands want to expand to 50 seat aircraft allegedly and there is the management connection is there not? In these though times the only way forward is consolidation for these smaller airlines like Air Southwest. Blue Islands are a strong company of that I have no doubt but Air Southwest are seeming more and more vunerable by the day.
