Once you're connected via bluetooth, when the phone rings you get a series of tones come through the headset. To answer you just press the bluetooth button on the headset battery box rather than having to dig around to find your phone. To make a call you can just use the handset, or alternatively set up (I think 10) voice activated speed dial numbers by pressing the bluetooth button again and saying the name of the person you want to call. I haven't used that function of it yet as I just keep my phone in my pocket.
