Thanks. Yes it is considered a single episode by the specialists. There was some confusion initially because it appeared i had DVT twice. However, the first time was not properly treated (and thats an understatement). The second time came shortly after that.

The 'Repetitive Thrombophlebitis' was the final ruling from the Medical Commision (non-uk CAA). Now i have a good change when i go for appeal since it appears to concern a JAA ruling that can be overturned. However, my lawyer is taking over from here so have to see how it will go.
