Well now....
If someone is flying First with children it is probable that he is paying the ticket himself. At 10% with no seat up to second birthday and 50% with seat up to twelfth. So the bucks are coming out of the aftertax earnings or savings of the passenger in question.
If a busness guy is travelling First or Business-the company is probably paying and using the likely investment money, in an extended form ie: holder of shares, of the self paying passenger to fund the gravy train life style of the hired hand or bought brain.
So if you are that important to the company, book the whole class or hire a charter. If not, then get back to Business Class where the underclass known as executives belongs at best, or better, fly economy which is where these people should be today so that their companies can pass on the savings to the investors.
It is about time that the backlash which extends now to bankers is extended to include these 'executivs' whose behaviour on aircraft and in lounges often reflects badly on those who spend their own hard earned cash in pursuit of a little luxury.
It is a bit like the double tax burden of inheritance tax is it not? Why should a shareholder have to pay for the business travellor First Class ticket and his own and then have his effective employee complain that he is hard served!
To the tumbrils with the subsidised proletariat nouveaux riches, the travelling salespeople of industry, a little humility would be good for their souls.
