Highwideand ugly my apologies, Manchester won the original bid but I believe that it has since been axed in a policy review. Although Newcastle was put forward onto the 'super casino' shortlist while both Middlesborugh and Newcastle were bidding for it. It still backs my point up that large projects like that tend to be centred on Newcastle rather than Middlesborugh and Sunderland and so in a round about way helping NCL grow!
