Smith doesnt know what he's on about. Some spoilt little toff who believes only UK trained pilots know what they are talking about.

I've about 260 hours in Florida, flown in and out of some of the busiest airports in the world to train in and witnessed nothing but brilliant flying and complete professionalism. FL is amazing. You will be hard pushed to find anything like it here in the UK. Flying into major airports, extremely busy airspace, wx can change in the blink of an eye etc etc are really good experience. Here in the UK - there is a good chance if it is raining now, it will be raining like it is for the next 3 days. Not in Florida!

I returned to the UK to finish training - and in one day in the UK I saw one guy trying to take off with a step ladder trailing on the ground, and then an hour later seen someone attempt a xwind departure - only to come off the side of the runway UPWIND!! Don't get caught up in this bs that only British trained pilots are worth their salt. It's rubbish.

PS - do a search on OBA - please!!! Then make an informed descision.

Hmmmmm.
