V1 definition if my memory serves me correct is different between Boeing and Airbus.
Airbus says it's descision speed, Boeing on the other hand say it's the speed at which the first actions of a rejected take-off have already comenced (not sure about the exact wording), in other words the !!!!! happening speed.
