EK can't even afford their own planes right now let alone another airline. May have been discussed but predict it will go nowhere.
I seriously doubt that. EK can afford their planes as they keep coming! I don't know what state Dubai is in but as it is owned by the government, who are still making a substantial amount of money from oil (hedging), they aren't going anywhere soon.
This would provide Emirates with the base between UAE and US.
Will be interesting.....
