Yeah, saw Air Van's Logo flashing the othe night into BNE too... Wondered the same qn as the DJ 73's dont have that option... As a side note, I notice qf 73's taxi around ( i think - but at least depart) with the wing lights on. 100% understand why you wanna be as visable as possible at night, but as they pass on the T/W or Runway, it can easily kill yr night vision with the narrow beam of light just prior to yr own departure. Though so do strobes I know... And interestingly, DJ dont have any formal use for the wing lights in that regard either (except low-and-behold, to see ice... on the wing...
). Ill duck now and I know the guys are just following SOP's, but its bloody overkill if you ask me.
