while the extension to the runway at BHD will allow for larger aircraft or heavier loads on current aircraft.. the question is can BHD's current facilities handle transatlantic flights (increase in passengers, bags, security checkpoint etc..)..

maybe this threat will encourage BFS to finally start updates and improving the airports condition as the only evidence ive seen so far of "improvements" is replacing screens at the international baggage track (air side), putting up a few arrivals signs and replacing cracked windows..

i thought they would have at least started the most disruptive construction during october/november/first week of Dec while flights were light and there was less passengers running about the ramp.. but nope, oh well theres hope in feburary/march i suppose, but it wudnt surprise me if they leave it until the peak summer time

super737, i think BelfastMark meant 12 is a single digit when its put into load factor (%)
