Many posters continue to try to implicate software but they completely ignore the fact that, in BA 038, in response to auto-throttle
and power lever movement, both fuel metering valves opened fully, yet the engines did not respond. Does that not mean that there was no little or no fuel there to flow toward the nozzles? How then can software be implicated?
Faulty software can cause a lot of problems, but the evidence does not point to software in the case of BA038. In fact, hard evidence seems to completely exonerate software.
