Ah lads, come on look at the schedules. EI made the decision that they were going for attractive schedules to key european destinations for the day tripper/business traveler. That only left middle of the day times for the NOC route, which would be fine, except that is when FR have scheduled to ORK-LGW for. NOC-LGW has a ready built customer base which os no longer served since the bankruptcy of the XL leisure group. It makes much more sense to operate that flight to NOC than ORK, where they would have nothing to offer over FR.
As the LGW base grows I would say 2x daily EI flight to LGW is likely. I could see one of the 5 LHR slots moving to SNN, BFS or DUB to compensate for that. EI are filling the A321 consistently at least in the morning and evenings, so LGW could offer them an option.
