Well said Rosemount, agree with you totally. Flybe's statement shows that they are running scared that their monopoly at BHD will now be challenged not only by FR but by other airlines. If they want to steal a march on FR, they should introduce scheduled continental routes to selected destinations asap. Why not Chambery for instance after all they do from other bases on a scheduled basis.
By the way, someone else said that Flybe's fleet was supplied by Shorts. The last time Flybe purchased a Shorts built aircraft was when they were Jersey European and took delivery of three 360s. The only involvement Shorts have now with Flybe's fleet is the manufacture of engine nacelles and u/c doors for all Q400s. They are not involved at all with the production of the EMB195.
