Why can't we have a system where we just nominate where we want to have our days off,
in preference, and then the computer just fills in the gaps with work that is a fair share rotational system? I don't see other shift-work jobs have the same freedom that QF cart-pushers do. I am happy to be politely corrected if I am wrong on this matter. I am more concerned about getting a particular day(s) off work so that I can have a life outside of cart-pushing. The work allocated by the computer should either be totally random or on a transparently fair rotational system. I personally would like to see the end of seniority system for work allocation in favour of more control of my personal life re: days off. I have lots of lamington drives and P&C meetings to chair.
