Like most US carriers there are trips based upon "lines" that are constucted by the company. Crewmembers bid on the lines and are awarded the line according to seniority. There are also a number of reserve crew members generally lower seniority personnel. Memphis has many reserve crews. The numbers of the crews on reserve change from month to month.
