I have been told that the New Airport Way is due to be inspected by LTN BC Engineering & Transportation on the 17th of this month and if all goes well will be opened soon after that.
We will wait to see if it does, once the New Airport Way is opened, then road improvement starts on the Old Airport Way and Kimpton Road route which becomes the A505.

The section by Gypsy Lane should open around now although the link to the station will remain shut until the traffic lights are installed, but as for the rest of it I doubt it very much as history has shown that every deadline that is set is missed. Although the link to the airport would not be affected the construction company has still to lay tarmac under the bridge or even put in a row of curb stones.
Worth remembering that once fully open, only busses will be able to turn right into Gypsy Lane. Everyone else will have to follow the diversion route which will become permanent.
